DESCRIPTION: Ein Urlaub geht zu Ende. Das ist normal. Doch dass der 10-jährigen Emi am Flughafen von Valencia einfällt, dass sie nicht mehr fliegen wird, das ist nicht normal. Die Eltern sind entsetzt – Klimaschutz okay, aber doch nicht jetzt! Zum Glück bietet Emis einige Jahre ältere Schwester Mara an, gemeinsam mit der Jüngeren per Bus nach Hause zu fahren. Unter Zeitdruck willigen die Eltern ein und so stehen die beiden Schwestern plötzlich allein da. Klar, dass sie erst einmal ausführlich shoppen gehen, Pizza holen und die neue Freiheit bis zum nächsten Tag, an dem der Bus fahren soll, genießen. Zu dumm nur, dass damit auch das Geld für die Tickets nicht mehr reicht und sie nun auf anderen Wegen Richtung Heimat kommen müssen. Plötzlich sind es nicht mehr zwei Flugstunden, sondern 1.600 Kilometer, die zwischen Urlaubsort und dem Zuhause liegen. Beherzt ziehen die beiden los – begegnen hilfreichen Menschen, landen auf einem Bauernhof, sehen das Land abseits der Touristenorte – und lernen sich ganz nebenbei auch gegenseitig neu kennen. Am Ende versteht Mara, dass 'Ich! Fliege! Nicht!' nur eine Ausrede war, aber keine schlechte, sonst wäre das Wunderbare alles nicht passiert.
