(c)1988-89 Focus on the Family (original broadcasts) Last week I went to a local thrift store and managed to find, alongside other items, a pair of sampler cassettes for Focus on the Family's long-running (since 1987) radio drama "Adventures in Odyssey" (for a number of years, the ministry would periodically have sampler cassettes of single episodes available with kids' meals sold at Chick-fil-A). These were 2 of 6 cassettes available from Chick-fil-A that were sold in 1991. Focus on the Family and Chick-fil-A would do periodic sampler cassettes (until 2000) and CD's until 2005. Two other notable aspects about these transfers included the following: One was the original art designs of the characters (which was soon to be phased out in favor of character designs patterned on the 1991-2003 animated videos). The other (which really shows how far back this goes) is that the address given at the end was when Focus on the Family was based in Pomona, California (by 1992

Radio drama, old-time radio and historic broadcasts from the Internet Archive (its Old Time Radio collection with the Old Time Radio Researchers' sets, WWII Era Audio Recordings, the Pacifica Radio Archives, the Radio Haiti Archive, German radio plays and listeners' uploads), Wikimedia Commons (with the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision's broadcasts) and the Library of Congress. Every episode plays from its archive, which this site does not copy; rights are as each archive states them. Nothing here is called public domain on this site's say-so. In the United States, sound recordings first fixed before 15 February 1972 have federal protection under the Music Modernization Act of 2018, for most until 2067 at the latest, so most American radio of the 1930s to the 1950s is not in the public domain there. Each set shows the licence, mark or statement its archive gives, and says whose it is. Horror, crime, war and westerns are for teenage and adult profiles, racist caricature for adults only, and children’s profiles hear what was made for children. More about these archives.
