e OBITUARY, i Died on Sunday Morning the 25th inst. ““Alfred’’ aged 10 years eldest son of Alfred Creagh Esq. “God’s will be done He hath unbound again, A precious link from sweet affections chain Grievous the loss of one so loving—mild, Your heart’s fond hopes, lie buried with your child. Like the impetuous lightning’s flame The tidings stun’d and wilder’d when it came: A day or two ago with me he play’d, Now in the grave his graceful limbs are laid. No more the radiant eye and winning smile, Will seek his father’s despond to beguile, No more his lithesome step from sport resounds Glad’ning his father's heart, as home he bounds. That smile stern death has stolen in his wrath The lithesome step, check’d on its floral path His boyhood’s play now ended-—run his race- Naught left, but lay him in his resting place. As Providence thence mercifully doth save; And set him free, henceforth no more to brave Earth’s toil, strife, care, temptations strong tha;t bind, Fetter the soul—debase the loftiest mind. “God’s will be done A loving father still Cease wild lament—bend moeki. Iy to w 3 The cherish’d son, in flmqe removed from this, Will be restored you, in the realms of bliss. 26th June 1865. [Nr. 61.
