An exchange sav*: "The Jay Simms Comedy appeared a! the opera house last night for the second time. The play presented was the famous French drama. Monte Christo, written by Al exander Dumas, and w hich has been so widely read and often played upon the stage, alway s with great success. This drama is one of unusual interest and full of thrilling situations. The compa ny is a strong one and for the presen tation last evening the players were wisely selected and well adapted to their various characters. Mr. IV. S. Hieti anlsou was the favorite and la-sides playing the title role impersonated four other characters in excellent style. Jay Simms and Clarence Ifolt as Fernando Mondegro and Doujjlas also came in for a share of the honors, while Miss Lois Ctark impersonated Merceries, the lead ing lady character in a highly satisfac tory manner."
