The Sunday School Advocate (May 12, 1888)
J[ohn] H[eyl] Vincent (New York)
A single issue of The Sunday School Advocate , apparently never bound, from May 12, 1888 (Volume 47, Number 18; Whole Number 1164). Edited and published by J. H. Vincent , and printed in New York and Cincinnati. Each issue is a single folded sheet, set with four folio sized pages, and includes large wood engravings, and a number of pedagogic columns (both religious and informative), stories, puzzles and so on. Scanned at 600dpi, 24-bit color, then algorithmically deskewed and manually cropped to a fixed page size throughout. The issues I’ve scanned had been stored folded horizontally, and while I tried to flatten the sheet, there may be some warping of the items through which the folds pass.
