GODEY’S LADY'S BOOK. PHILADELPHIA, FEBRUARY, 1857. JAPAN AND VIEW ON WE have already noticed the volume which describes the expedition of Commodore Perry to Japan and the China Seas.* The import- ance and interest of the subject have induced us to lay before our readers a more particular account of the expedition, with specimens of the ‘‘ Narrative,’’ and the illustrations with which it is embellished.
