Nyonin Geijutsu (女人藝術) was an important Japanese women's literary magazine that was founded and edited by Hasegawa Shigure (長谷川時雨) ran from 1928 to 1932 and its contributors formed a Women's Art League (女人芸術同盟). The journal may be described as feminist and socialist leaning, with an increasing focus on women's labor and leftist perspectives on art and politics that lead to some issues being censored. Key contributors include Hayashi Fumiko (林芙美子), Kamichika Ichiko (神近市子), Nakamoto Takako (中本たか子), Takamure Itsue (高群逸枝), Kawai Asako (河合朝子), Matsui Teiko (松井締子), Yagi Akiko (八木秋子), Ikuta Hanayo (生田花世), and Ozaki Midori (尾崎翠). Anarchist contributors broke away to form a separate journal Fujin Sensen An association formed after the Nyonin Geijutsu ended publication tried to revive it in the form of a new publication Kagayaku (輝く) which ran until 1941.
