Красная новь (Krasnai͡a Nov')
Krasnaya Nov', one of the first Soviet literary magazines, was established in June 1921. In its first 7 years, under editor-in-chief Alexander Voronsky, Krasnaya Nov' reached a circulation of 15,000 copies. The magazine regularly published works by leading Soviet authors, including Maxim Gorky, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Andrey Platonov, Boris Pasternak and others, as well as essays on politics, economics, and science by Lenin, Skvortsov-Stepanov, Bukharin, Preobrazhensky, Frunze and Radek among others. In 1927, Voronsky was condemned as Trotskyite and fired.
