Capt. Billy's Whiz Bang "Explosion of Pedigreed Bunk" (May, 1924)
Wilford "Captain Billy" Fawcett (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
A humour and cartoon magazine of its era: such magazines routinely ran racist and ethnic caricature. It is shown to adult profiles only.
An issue of Capt. Billy's Whiz Bang from May of 1924. Published by Fawcett Publications in Minneapolis, Minnesota, it features broad humor, notorious jokes, and some cartoonish spot illustrations. Scanned at 600dpi in 24-bit color, then algorithmically deskewed and manually cropped to a single page size throughout. This is a remarkably clean copy, given the pulp paper and rusted staple binding, but it seems all text has been preserved, excepting some over-close cropping required on the cover.
