Episode The History of the U.S. Presidential Inaugurations

0:00 23:50

"Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country." – JFK

Host Keerthi travels back to the inauguration of George Washington to give a humorous, yet informative history of Presidential inaugurations in the United States. She even talks about the fashions, frills, and forgettable faux pax, including the lessons from the 2021 storming of the Capitol with the not-so-peaceful transfer of power. The most important thing we all need to remember about the presidential inauguration: whether it's 1789 or 2025, whether it's George Washington or Donald Trump, the inauguration is a reminder that in this country, democracy is the star of the show. It's a moment of transition, a symbol of unity. Let's hope January 20, 2025 is a great day for America.
