0:00 12:34

Smokin Jo is one of the true pioneers of dance music culture and a defining figure in Ibiza’s clubbing history. Emerging from London’s underground scene in the late 1980s, she became the first female DJ to win DJ Magazine’s prestigious DJ of the Year award and helped shape the sound and spirit of an era that transformed electronic music worldwide. From the early days of acid house and Balearic beats to legendary residencies at Space, Pacha, Manumission and beyond, Smokin Jo has spent decades at the centre of club culture’s most important moments.

Presented by Alan Warman and Clara Griffin. Produced by Dave Lambert
