Happy Monday, everyone

It's De-Graft here with your BBC Newsround bulletin

now today

今天

the bulletin does look a little different

and that's because

原因是

we are having some technical difficulties

however we still have today's news

and first

首先

today is a special day in the Jewish calendar

yom Kippur

will be marked by Jewish people all across the world

here's what you need to know

yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement

is a very special day in the Jewish calendar

it takes place 10 days after Rosh Hashana

the Jewish New Year

This period is called the Days of Awe

the date of Yom Kippur changes every year because

like Rosh Hashana

it follows the Jewish calendar

which is different from the calendar

used in lots of Western countries

yom Kippur

which means it's taken very seriously

and is a time for deep thought and reflection

this is because it's when Jewish people believe God

takes a look at what people have done

over the past year

and decide what the next year will be like for them

as a result

因此

Jewish people believe God

records His judgments in the Book of Life

which is then closed and sealed up on Yom Kippur

yom Kippur is also called the Day of Atonement

because atonement is when you try to put right

something that you might have done wrong

Jewish people commit to not doing those things

again over the

the 10 Days of Awe leading up to Yom Kippur

are also a chance to put things right with others

for example if you have an argument with someone

it's a good time to apologize and make amends

there are several ways that Jewish people Mark Yom

Kippur

罪日

a special instrument called the shofar

is played right at the end of the synagogue service

the synagogue is

the name of the place

指

where Jewish people go to worship

the chauffeur is also played a number of times

during the previous festival of Rosh Hashana

Jewish people do not eat or drink for 25 hours

this is called fasting

however children who are under the age of 13

those who are pregnant

or people who are ill do not have to fast

another way of marking Yom Kippur

is to wear white as a symbol of purity

Hi Newsround

《Newsround》大家好

we're at RoboCup 2026, a big competition

for robots playing football here in Germany

and as you can see how many frick are you going at

RoboCup has been going on for quite a few years now

but it must be so different now

what's changed over the years

even just compared to like 2 or 3 years ago

for 2 years ago we walked behind the robots

we were called robot handlers

so if the robot was falling we catch them

we catch them

now we are not able to do this anymore

the rules are different

it's not allowed to follow him

so

所以

we have to be sure that the locomotion is that stable

that the robot

can walk autonomously and omni directional

if he is…
