where do you even start with illustrating a story

as well known as Harry Potter

the way I approached it was

kind of I'm just gonna approach this as if I'm a fan

and I'm just going to

draw what I see when I read the book

so that was really

the whole process

sort of felt to me like

I was trying to do some sort of fan art

if I were to draw say Harry Potter

where would I start

you start out with some basic shapes and then

whittle down the shape

into a kind of something that resembles a head

or something that resembles a building

或者建筑的样子

and then you start adding features

and if you've looked

and practiced enough

you get into a stage where you kind of can

can kind of anticipate what features look like

really it's just a case of

playing around with things

until they kind of start looking right

and then you gradually refine it over time

where should they start

pick up a pencil

and just draw what you like you know and just and

is draw something that you like and keep doing it
