The prestigious campus of the University of Hong Kong was home to the renowned engineering professor Cheung Kie-chung (张祺忠) and his wife, Chan Wai-man (陈慧文), an elite couple envied by all for their assets worth over 10 billion won. One day, a report is filed that the wife has vanished without a trace. While the husband and their daughter, Cheung Szewai (张思慧), point to a woman in CCTV footage as the wife and claim she simply ran away from home , the wife's younger sister, Chan Wai Yin (陈慧贤), raises strong doubts, insisting that such behavior is completely out of character for her sister. As the investigation hits a dead end, a bizarre stench and a mysterious wooden box are discovered in Professor Cheung’s office, and the reality of this "perfect" family along with its hidden tragedies begins to surface.
