Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Olie Is Kidnapped,” episode 615 of the classic radio comedy, originally broadcast on March 7, 1950. Jim and Marian Jordan star as Fibber and Molly McGee in this NBC, Johnson’s Wax-sponsored broadcast. When Ole is reported kidnapped, Fibber tries to alert the Wistful Vista police—only to discover that reaching them is not as simple as it should be. Written by Phil Leslie, this small-town comedy also features announcer Harlow Wilcox, with Cliff Arquette and Richard LeGrand. Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
