0:00 30:34

Fibber McGee and Molly presents “The Used Car,” originally broadcast October 9, 1945. In episode 448 of the NBC comedy series, Jim Jordan and Marian Jordan star as Fibber and Molly McGee. With civilian automobiles newly relevant in the early postwar period, the McGees set out to shop for a car—especially a snappy green sedan. Fibber’s enthusiasm and Molly’s levelheaded perspective turn a practical errand into a classic Wistful Vista misadventure. Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
