Episode Fibber McGee and Molly - "Letter Writing (Monitor - Complete)" (Old Time Radio, 1958)
Fibber McGee and Molly presents “Letter Writing (Monitor - Complete),” episode 1484, originally broadcast December 21, 1958. This compact NBC Monitor-era sketch stars Jim Jordan as Fibber McGee and Marian Jordan as Molly McGee. During National Letter Writing Week, Fibber tries to settle down to some correspondence—but finding someone out of town to write to proves more complicated than expected. The familiar domestic comedy centers on Fibber’s increasingly elaborate approach to a simple task. Fibber McGee and Molly presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
