Episode How Avatar Medical Is Democratizing Medical Imaging
What if your surgeon could walk you through a 3D model of your own body — built in 15 seconds — before ever making an incision?
In this episode of Reshaping Workflows with Dell Pro Precision and NVIDIA RTX Pro GPUs, host Logan Lawler is joined by Dell Technologies' healthcare specialist Veronica Thums and JJ Ross, Clinical Director at Avatar Medical, to explore how 3D medical imaging is reshaping the patient consultation experience from the ground up.
JJ breaks down how Avatar Medical converts raw CT and MRI DICOM data into instant, interactive 3D reconstructions without cloud, without segmentation delays, and without days-long turnaround. The conversation covers what FDA 510(k) clearance actually means for a software company navigating surgical planning, how VR headsets and autostereoscopic displays are making anatomy visible in entirely new ways, and why keeping PHI within hospital walls isn't just a compliance win — it's a trust builder. Veronica digs into why Dell Precision workstations, paired with NVIDIA Blackwell-series GPUs, are the hardware backbone, making it all possible — shrinking from full-tower to micro-form-factor without sacrificing performance.
Tune in now and see healthcare workflows from a completely new dimension.
