First, The plaintiff and defendant met at work, and they became good friends. She says she loaned him money to keep him out of jail, but he never paid her back. The plaintiff says when she asked the defendant for money, the defendant’s girlfriend started harassing her. She’s suing for an unpaid loan and harassment. The defendant admits the plaintiff loaned him money, but he claims the plaintiff badmouthed him to people at work. He’s countersuing for defamation.

Then, The plaintiff became a drug addict when she was a teenager. She says she lost custody of her kids, and the defendant, her sister, raised her children. The plaintiff is suing for stolen money and a gas bill. The defendant hopes the plaintiff can stay clean. She doesn’t think she owes the plaintiff because the plaintiff should be suing the defendant’s ex, not her.
