Episode #444 - Joby Martin // Unity In Christ
We open Philippians 2 and let Paul’s words confront our tendency to divide when Jesus calls us to be one. We connect gospel-centered unity to God’s love, the work of the Holy Spirit, and a clear line between primary doctrine and personal preference. • reading Philippians 2 and setting the context through repetition • Paul’s call to unity for every Christian, not just leaders • linking Philippians 2 unity to Jesus’ prayer in John 17 • wrestling with the idea that God loves us as He loves Jesus • clarifying unity versus uniformity in the church • unifying on primary issues like Christ, Scripture, and the gospel • giving latitude on secondary issues like music and baptism practices • a gut-check question on where we divide over preferences Before you go, if you want to help equip other men for the fight, share this podcast around and leave us a five star rating and review.

Shows are listed from Apple Podcasts' charts and directory, and Podcast Index where it is used. Every show and episode belongs to its publisher and plays from the publisher's own feed; this site hosts none of them. Explicit shows are for adult profiles only, and children’s profiles hear only children’s shows. More about this list.
