This week, we’re joined by the multi-talented Karl Ude-Martinez, founder of The Knights of Middle England. Karl has had one of the most unusual and exciting careers in the horse world, spanning acting, international polo commentary, stunt riding and professional jousting.
Karl shares the story of his “baptism of fire” as a teenage knight at Warwick Castle, how he balances the precision of polo with the chaos of the jousting arena, and his deep belief in the transformative power of horses.
He also reveals the realities of performing at speed in full armour, the trust required between horse and rider, and some unforgettable stories from a career spent entertaining crowds both in and out of the saddle.
