The Quran calls our Prophet ﷺ both Nabi and Rasool— two titles that hold two sides of his mission. As a Nabi, he ﷺ stood closest to Allah, receiving revelation no one else could. In that closeness, he found light, strength and serenity. But with the responsibility of a Rasool, he ﷺ faced a different reality: rejection, ridicule, and relentless pain - even from those who sat behind him in prayer. In this khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on how these two roles were never separate. The more deeply the Prophet ﷺ connected with Allah, the more weight he bore from people. And yet, he ﷺ never turned away from either. This is the legacy we inherit, not just one of honor, but of endurance. And a reminder that our strength with people must be fueled by our bond with Allah.
