Episode Episode 30: The Jesus People Podcast | Ryan Miller: Baseball, Brokenness, and the God Who Wouldn’t Let Go
In this beach-side solo episode of The Jesus People Podcast, online evangelist Ryan Miller unpacks his own whirlwind testimony from insecure, fro-topped teen evangelist and benched baseball hopeful, through heartbreak, porn & alcohol addiction, to a million-dollar Wild Mustang film, multiple ministry failures, and finally a viral digital mission that now reaches millions.
As he strolls Door County’s shoreline, Ryan threads jaw-dropping miracles with two overlooked passages, Hosea’s scandalous marriage and the high priest Joshua standing filthy before God, to reveal a Gospel of relentless pursuit and tender meekness that tames even the wildest heart.
Key Highlights
• Growing up the “odd bird” in a PhD-packed family & early high-school zeal • Baseball roller-coaster: from cut lists to Cubs scouts, then crushing betrayal • Porn, booze & an identity crisis that drove a desperate search for worth • Bold Wild Mustang film project and the divine lesson of meekness • Hosea & Joshua: vivid biblical pictures of God buying back what’s already His • From wilderness years to half-billion-view online evangelism, when surrender fuels impact
If you’re chasing success yet feeling empty, battling secret sin, or stuck in the “round pen,” Ryan’s story proves no failure is final and no heart too wild for Christ’s redeeming love.
