Episode Can Ben Shelton Break The Streak?! | US Open Something Major SF's | EP 214
On this episode of Nothing Major, Sam, John, and Stevie break down US Open Semifinal Friday, starting with Sam’s courtside observations, an influencer rant, and a stacked celebrity crowd. They recap Ben Shelton’s four-set win over Frances Tiafoe which featured a disputed 158-mph serve reading, before discussing what Tiafoe’s summer means going forward.
Plus, they cover Zverev’s straight-sets win over Khachanov, his heavy baseline game, huge serving numbers, and lengthy pre-serve bounces, along with Sam’s on-court interview where Zverev shouts out the podcast.
On the women’s side, they recap Sabalenka overpowering Pegula and Rybakina rallying past Gauff behind a dominant serve before previewing the finals: Zverev vs. Shelton and Sabalenka vs. Rybakina, with predictions and bracket challenge talk.
