Episode KEEPING TRUMPS OUT OF CANADIAN DRONES, CARNEY MASSIVE LNG ANNOUNCEMENT, BC ELECTION CHAOS
The recent developments in Canada should alarm us all. Just as the U.S. implemented new trade bans, Stelco, a leading Canadian steel company, announced massive layoffs—a consequence of the trade war Trump ignited. Yet, that’s not all. News surfaced that Donald Trump Jr. might have a financial interest in a Canadian drone contract, raising serious questions about accountability and transparency in our procurement process. Join us as Retired Canadian Armed Forces Naval Officer Michael Mahoney teams up with host Laura Babcock to discuss what Canadians can do to demand accountability and ensure transparency in our military procurements.
In addition, Mark Carney just made waves with a significant announcement regarding a Liquefied Natural Gas investment in British Columbia. Aileen Machell, a former staffer for Premier Eby, will provide valuable insights into this deal and the implications of the upcoming snap BC election, which could see a MAGA Conservative government take the helm. This is a crucial moment for our country.
