The Rise of Ṭālūt and the Fall of Jālūt – The Untold Islamic Story of Courage and Faith
ssalāmu ʿAlaikum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh,
This is the epic Qur’ānic story of Ṭālūt and Jālūt (Saul and Goliath), as told in Surah al-Baqarah (2:246–251) and explained by Imām Ibn Kathīr in Qiṣaṣ al-Anbiyāʾ. It is the story of how a small group of believers, tested by Allāh, overcame a mighty tyrant army — not with numbers, but with patience, trust, and courage.
From the test of the river, to the bravery of young Dāwūd (ʿAlayhi’s-Salām), to the fall of the giant Jālūt — this timeless story reminds us that victory comes only from Allāh.
