Episode #77 - Biddy O’Loughlin - Cancelled, Comedy & Speaking Your Mind
🎙 In This Episode of the 2 Worlds Collide Podcast, I sit down with Biddy O'Loughlin for a wide-ranging conversation on comedy, culture, and what happens when jokes collide with modern politics.
Biddy is an actor and stand-up comic who’s appeared twice on Kill Tony, opened for Isaac Butterfield, and met Joe Rogan. She joins me to talk about being “cancelled” in Australia, the pressure on comedians today, and why she believes humour still matters — especially when it makes people uncomfortable.
We unpack free speech in entertainment, online backlash, navigating controversy, and what it’s like to keep performing when the spotlight turns hostile.
This episode isn’t safe. It isn’t scripted. It’s a raw conversation about art, risk, and saying what you think.
🧭 In This Episode We Cover: 🎭 Life as a working comedian in Australia 🔥 Being cancelled and public backlash 🗣️ Comedy, culture & free expression 📱 Social media storms and career fallout 🎤 Performing overseas and global audiences 🇦🇺 The future of stand-up in Australia
