"My introduction to the world was riots and violence."
Azadeh Atzberger was born in Tehran during the Islamic Revolution — bombs, riots, and chaos were her earliest memories. She came to America as a child, was bullied relentlessly, called the Ayatollah's daughter, and found herself in a violent, abusive relationship that left her bloodied, stitched up, and abandoned at a mental institution by her own mother.
Today she is one of the leading voices on narcissistic abuse recovery — author of the 12 Steps of Narcissistic Abuse, a couples coach, and a women's empowerment expert who has helped thousands reclaim their lives, their identity, and their power.
As Iran is at war and the world watches, Rachel Uchitel sits down with a woman who actually lived it — and came out the other side stronger than anyone who tried to break her.
