L’aumento dei prezzi dell’energia sta creando un problema difficile per la BCE: spinge l’inflazione verso l’alto e, allo stesso tempo, indebolisce la crescita europea. Francoforte deve quindi scegliere quale dei due rischi contrastare: alzare i tassi per frenare l’inflazione oppure abbassarli per sostenere l’economia. Ieri ha scelto la prima strada, aumentando i tassi di altri 25 punti base. Ma perché?
