Episode A chat with Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji
In this episode of the Mic on Podcast, Seun Okinbaloye hosts the visionary producer of Nigeria’s first AI-driven feature film, "Makemation," Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, who discusses how the project blends storytelling and artificial intelligence to educate citizens, challenge societal norms, and advocate for systemic reforms.
Akerele-Ogunsiji frames Makemation as a civic intervention pushing for STEM education, gender equity, and democratic accountability. She urges women to rise beyond tokenism in politics, denounces sexual harassment in leadership spaces, and champions AI as a tool to drive efficiency, empower youth, and reform Nigeria’s electoral processes.
