Episode I Blacked Out, Woke Up in an Ambulance, and Still Didn’t Quit Drinking

0:00 53:17

Have you ever promised yourself you’d never drink like that again, only to find yourself doing the exact same thing a few weeks later?

For years, Sam struggled with binge drinking, alcohol blackouts, and the anxiety that followed. He was the life of the party, had a successful career, and was surrounded by friends, but his drinking was becoming increasingly difficult to control.

After blacking out on his birthday, Sam woke up in an ambulance with serious injuries. He was taken to the hospital, but instead of going home, he left and continued drinking at another party.

Even that wasn’t enough to make him quit.

Now celebrating two years of sobriety, Sam returns to the Sober Motivation Podcast to share what finally changed. We talk about the warning signs he ignored, the challenges of the first 90 days sober, rebuilding relationships, and discovering a life without alcohol that he once thought would be impossible.

A powerful reminder that you don’t have to lose everything to decide it’s time to stop drinking.
