They weren't struggling, and that was the problem. The cash sat there earning interest they were taxed on while they kept paying interest on the home loan, and Cherry was sceptical of Infinity from the start, convinced anything that sounded this good had a catch in it. What changed her mind was seeing their super broken down and realising what retirement would actually look like if they carried on exactly as they were.
