Before Paris Saint-Germain, before Portugal, before the world started talking about him… João Neves was just a football-loving boy from Tavira, in the south of Portugal.
In Part 1, we follow João’s incredible journey from Casa Benfica Tavira to Benfica’s famous academy in Seixal, where his discipline, tucked-in shirt, clever scanning and calmness on the ball helped him stand out from the crowd.
This is the story of how a young player with focus, hard work and football intelligence rose through the ranks, signed his first professional contract at just 16, and helped Benfica shine in the UEFA Youth League.
A brilliant, inspiring football story for kids about João Neves, Benfica, Portugal, hard work, confidence and chasing your dream.
