In de jaren '90 nam de Belgische regering smeergeld aan van een Italiaanse helikopterbouwer, Agusta. De moeder van alle corruptieschandalen in ons land legde een bom onder de politiek. Heel wat betrokkenen schreeuwden hun onschuld uit, toch was de zaak verwoestend voor het vertrouwen in de Belgische politiek. Later zou een afscheidsbrief de waarheid alsnog onthullen.
