In this episode, a clever farmer wants to buy a new ox but decides to test it first. When the new ox immediately befriends the laziest, most gluttonous animal in the barn, the farmer learns exactly what kind of ox it is!
We also learn the profound meaning of Thirukkural 782 (நிறைநீர நீரவர் கேண்மை...), which compares good friendships to a growing, waxing moon, and bad friendships to a shrinking, waning moon.
