Merry Christmas, Homemakers! In this episode newbie homemaker, Jillian Johnson, tells us what it’s like celebrating not just with a new husband, but in a new country. This year, she’ll be having her 3rd Christmas in Scotland after growing up in Canada. Elizabeth Ours, mom of 10, has some great ideas to share for a large family Christmas. We also touch on what can be a sensitive or even contentious subject, Santa Claus. Elizabeth shares how and why she and her husband recently chose to take Santa out of their celebrations, while I give my thoughts on the place St. Nick holds in our family traditions. In Holiday Homemaker Hints, I’m talking about gifting subscriptions and experiences as well as my top gift wrap tips, then Jan Roueche and Jenna Punke-Bendt round out the episode with their Christmas memories. It’s going to be another great hour full of Christmas ideas, inspiration, recipes, memories and encouragement.
