In einer Wohnung in Friedrichshain werden im Februar 1935 zwei tote Kinder entdeckt. Ein drittes lebt noch, stirbt aber später ebenfalls. Die Ermittlungen übernimmt Kriminalrätin Friederike Wieking. Der Vorwurf heißt: Mord. Ganz Berlin ist schockiert und sucht nach der Mutter der Kinder, Charlotte Jünemann.
