Episode 042: The youth unemployment crisis
Young people have been disproportionately affected by unemployment across the globe due to the pandemic. This week we chat to Karen Graham from Talent RISE, a charity committed to changing the lives of young people who have experienced barriers to employment.
We talk about the challenges young people face when starting out their careers, why talent short STEM & Tech industries represent huge opportunities, and importantly what employers can do to address this unemployment crisis.
🏀 Shoot Your Shot - shoutout to Heidi who found our podcast just in the nick of time, and listened to our ‘The best way to prepare for an interview’ episode on the way home. She got a call back 4 HOURS after the interview inviting her for a second one with the business owners. AND since recording we’re happy to announce that she got the job!
