Botox, fillers, ooglidcorrecties en face-lifts behoren tot de meest voorkomende ingrepen binnen de plastische chirurgie. Vroeger bestond het merendeel van de patiënten uit vrouwen tussen 35 en 55 jaar, maar tegenwoordig worden de cliënten steeds jonger en neemt ook het aantal mannen toe. Wist je dat de term "plastische chirurgie" niets te maken heeft met plastic? Het woord is afgeleid van het Griekse plastikos, wat "vormgeven" betekent.
