27 Jul 2026 · 39 min · Episode 675

The cold-blooded assassination of Jill Dando remains Britain’s most haunting cold case. At the peak of her fame, the "Golden Girl" of the BBC was executed on her own doorstep in broad daylight—a crime so clinical it stunned the nation. But was it really the work of a "loner," or was Jill the victim of a professional hitman? In this episode of Andrew Gold | Heretics., investigative expert Matthew Steeples dives deep into the dark theories surrounding Dando’s death. From Serbian retaliation and underworld revenge to a secret BBC dossier that might have contained too much truth, we rank the most likely suspects and explore the terrifying vulnerability of public figures. Was the real killer hiding in plain sight? We re-examine the evidence of the modified weapon, the silencer, and the chilling precision of the hit that the police may have completely misread.
