Episode Sony Done Took My Anime! A Discussion on Censorship, Piracy, and Streaming
I was gonna call this episode a rehash on the old streaming episode but that would be too funny because, uh, someone showed up to record... hashed up? Is that what the cool kids say? The only drug I get high on is life (and antidepressants). We retread old ground on what we've already talked about before except now we live in an awkward future where Crunchyroll and Funimation have fused into what could only be called the Veku of anime streaming services. That's a Dragon Ball Z reference. Particularly a Fusion Reborn reference! That's right, shonen bronen. I can speak your language. We discuss the nature of streaming, anime censorship, and piracy all in one handy dandy episode. It's like sixty episodes in one! As always, check out new episodes every Sunday by going to our website at www.otakumelancholy.com to see all our links including our social media and join the Discord at https://discord.gg/rUHYUyW to continue the conversation!
