Episode Beyond Attendance: Developing Leaders and Reaching Young Adults with Daniel Goulding
Pastor Daniel Goulding joins Josiah Kennealy to talk about reaching young adults, building healthy ministry teams, and planting Echoes Church. Daniel shares how a life-changing encounter with faith shaped his path from youth ministry to serving young adults—and eventually launching a church rooted in both sound teaching and spiritual vitality. They discuss why young adulthood is a pivotal season for faith and identity, why authentic community matters more than polished production, and how ministry leaders can prioritize spiritual formation over attendance alone. Daniel also shares practical advice on developing leaders, resourcing a vision through generosity, and serving faithfully before seeking a public platform. In this episode: Why churches should invest intentionally in young adults What helps a young adult ministry feel genuine and welcoming How leaders can identify and develop others’ gifts Why attendance is a lagging indicator of ministry health The vision behind Echoes Church How to respond when growth outpaces leadership capacity Why young leaders should serve in obscurity before seeking a platform Resources mentioned: Our family uses Christian Healthcare Ministries.
