Risipa alimentară se referă la orice alimente care sunt aruncate. În ferme, fructele și legumele care nu arată perfect sunt adesea aruncate. În magazine, alimentele care sunt aproape de data de expirare sau care nu sunt vândute la timp sunt aruncate. În casele noastre, se aruncă resturile sau alimentele pe care le-am uitat în frigider.
