織田信長・豊臣秀吉に愛された狩野永徳。安土城・大坂城という天下人の城の障壁画を任された天才が安土城の姿を描いた屏風絵があります。それは天正遣欧使節によってバチカンのローマ教皇に献上されましたが、現在行方不明となっているのです。
