預言者ムハンマドの後継者は、選挙で選ばれることになりましたが、全会一致で物事は決まらないのが世の常です。そのため、選挙をするとハッキリと勝ち負けが見えてしまい、負けた側が怨念を抱くようになります。場合によっては世襲が優れているなんて逆説が起きてしまうのでした。
