Transportwege machten Stadlau zu einem wichtigen Knotenpunkt - eine Furt führte über die Donau, die Ostbahn ermöglichte den Transport der vielen, in den dort angesiedelten Gewerbe- und Industrieanlagen hergestellten Waren. Rund um den "Linsenanger" hat sich der Kern von Kagran entwickelt.
