'Wat mijn ouders over mij zeggen, daar lusten de honden geen brood van, het is echt heel tragisch. Ik durf het bijna niet uit te spreken maar mijn ouders wensen mij, keer op keer, liever dood. Ik draag hun achternaam en heb vervolgens commentaar op de Turkse cultuur op tv. Daar worden mijn ouders dan op aangekeken omdat ik hun achternaam draag. Vanuit hun opvoeding en geloofsovertuiging snap ik dat ze mij niet mogen, maar ik ben zoals ik ben.’ In een nieuwe aflevering van 30 MINUTEN RAUW praat ik een half uur lang met Lale Gül.
