Er lijkt geen maat te staan op investeringen in datacenters voor AI, vooral in de VS. Europa zal volgen, maar willen we dat? En hebben we al die datacenters ook echt nodig?
In de Verenigde Staten zijn datacenters voor AI-toepassingen intussen al zo groot dat ze geen hectares, maar vierkante kilometers innemen. Plaats daarvoor hebben ze in de VS genoeg. Energie ook. En kapitaal, dat zeker.
Europa wil niet achterblijven in de race. Maar moeten wij dan echt al ons geld en al onze energie ook in datacenters pompen?
