Ayoub Kharkhach won dit jaar de Annie M.G. Schmidtprijs voor zijn nummer ‘Handen van goud’. Dit lied komt uit zijn debuutvoorstelling ‘En verbied de vogels om te fluiten’, waarmee hij momenteel door het land trekt. Met Gijs Groenteman bespreekt hij hoe hij zichzelf met Youtube gitaar en piano leerde spelen, waar zijn bewondering voor zijn ouders is ontstaan en hoe muziek zijn veilige haven is. Ook heeft hij zijn gitaar mee in de kast en zingt hij het winnende nummer en ‘Ouders’.
