Episode You’ll Hate Me For Saying This: You Must Ignore Your Child’s Initial Bluster! #650
"This is dumb." "You can't make me." "I'm not doing that!" When your strong-willed child spits out immediate pushback, your natural instinct is to correct their attitude and nip the disrespect in the bud. But reacting to that first emotional reaction is the reason families get stuck in endless power struggles. I want to show you a counter-intuitive strategy that works much better—complete with real-world examples for kids of all ages. Casey gave me initial bluster for saying we’re starting the Black Friday Sale today—but he created the special web page for it below anyway. And yeah, feel free to call me dumb for this—I will ignore your bluster!
P.S. Our Black Friday Sale begins today at https://celebratecalm.com/black-friday/. Let your kids and grandparents listen to the Calm Parenting Bundle. Email Casey@CelebrateCalm.com with questions or financial assistance.

Shows are listed from Apple Podcasts' charts and directory, and Podcast Index where it is used.
